Linear field diffuse cross

So I like variation. Infact I desire it. In life I like it mostly stable but in pictures I want to be surprised. But at this point I want a limit. The limit I have chosen to explore is the line. Naturally I will trick myself to do something entirely different. At this point it seems interesting enough to attemt a limit. Perhaps I am able to be focused enough to make a construction out of the simple line. We will see.

Frames

New frames:) Delivered 10 framed photographs to Nordic Sales Groups new offices. They measure 54,5×74,5cm. I’m sticking with this frame for my digital work this spring. The first 12 were a little rough around the edges but it suits an office environment well. With a little more work and a higher price they might work for private buyers living rooms.

Pelikan and Sailor

The pens I use. Both are great. The Sailor has a very fine line and the Pelikan is dynamic so they are all I need till I get the urge to advance. I use them for writing stuff. Useless stuff but it keeps me at ease sometimes just to see the words and how they look on a page. I mix inks for my endless need for variation. And then theres the linear drawings. The linear fields.

Pelikan, Inoxcrom and Cross

At last I got a Pelikan with a gold nib. It’s a plunger so I can tweak colours to my hearts content.

About Art

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

I have no idea what art is. But the concept is irresistible. There is no way of moving away from it after getting some sort of grip around some aspect of it. The completely material is my angel on it. The material and not the thought or idea of it is my medium to achieve objects that carry within themselves an element of something unknown. To find elements that are in some way or other unrecognizable is my continuous goal. To achieve this I have to liberate myself from method and simplify the forms I work in. An object of art I experience fall from my material activity and concrete consciousness is in this limiting. Conscious focus may create impressive objects that are usually empty shells. Art avoids the conscious it seems and to grasp it just for a glimpse I have to trick myself into not looking and thereby bring it to reality through action not thought.

Elementer green

I don’t use much green in my paperwork and paintings. In photography it is difficult to avoid in summer. It is green everywhere these days. This particular green is based on seagull shit. I call it seagull shitt green. I think I might base a painting on this photography. Like photorealistic seagull shitt green.
