A painting from my Saturations series (fortetninger). Splatter was done in 2004 and is a personal favorite. At some point one forgets the motive for doing a particular work and the painting appears as it would to anyone. I varnished the backside and repainted the frame after exhibiting the piece for some time. It is painted on wood so it is somewhat sensitive to changes in humidity but overall I feel that work on wood is more durable and it gives the object a sence of solidity that actually influences the way I paint. The heavier the vehicle the more time I tend to spend. It is painted horizontally by drops of dilluted paint creating a dynamic field unspecific enough to be a lookingengine.
