A blue drop

The first impulse on my 40 pieces of paper. 3 or 4 ml of water with some cobalt. Insignificant but the rest of the work is a reaction to this premier impulse. Rational, emotional, intellectual and or what have you. A few thousand additional actions and I have a series of repositories. Or depositories.

40 pieces of paper

I opened a package of fresh paper yesterday. 10 big sheets I divided by 4. That makes 40. I’ll do whatever I like with them. That’s the point really. These days when I’ve decided not to waste an ounce of energy making a sale it is making me feel strangely liberated. They’ll have to ask me if they want a piece. Another decision I’ve made is to triple my prices. It is a tactical decision based on my observations of who buys my work and when. As I’ve described earlier my work is a form of narcissistic materialism. I collect my actions in the form of art pieces, those are pieces of my soul so I hope you understand  my reluctance to sell it off. No one can ever convince a consumer that buying art is a good idea. That decision is entirely individual and for most people a special occasion where they are prepared for a costly experience. Typically I never make a sale when I offer my work but I sell when people ask to have a look. So there you have it.

I’m into pink these days. Pink and maybee grey. I think it’s me trying to adapt the input of all the easy art I’ve been seeing. Easy and pink is what it’s all about.
