The drawing chamber poster
Saturday, April 25th, 2009So I’m slaving away again with the drawing chamber. A slave to whom I might ask myself. I suppose it’s just time to pull it out of the reposatory. I reworked the chamber to look at a larger version but went back to a 2008 version that is 320×320x320. I also think I have worked out how to finance the first ten chambers the premier beeing my drawing chamber for Ivar Bergsmosgt 2 (number 1 beeing the regional hospital).
A good idea flows on easily. One small idea into another.
The aRTchamber is a compact building for designated artpieces. It is beeing designed to be completely modular to make it serve it’s purpose for the artist that will use it.
Together the chambers will serve as a desentralized museum of contemporary art each chamber beeing placed in the Vesteraalen landscape.
The chamber is functional: it is a workspace/studio and gallery/museum (art produced will hopefully be permanent) for when the piece is finnished.
The chamber is semimobile. In theory it may be possible to move the chamber by crane. If that does not work satisfactory it is possible to deconstruct and refit the chamber at another location which opens for dynamic use of the chambers.

Saturday, April 18th, 2009A big poster I’m trying to have admitted for a show on scetchbooks in Oslo at Tegnerforbundet this autumn. These juryed shows are a bit of a gamble but I’m leaving no rocks unturned. The drawings are from the turn of the century. Weird stuff really. My angle on art was at the time pretty feverish and unmeditated but I feel they are pretty close to the term expressionism in the way that the drawings convey the raw personality of myself. To me any mark on paper is interesting especially marks without established purpose.
