Two circles dividing nr2
I’m starting off with two circles dividing. A study of this theme. We’ll see what I can get out of it. This year I’m continuing these drawings which are becoming the sentral engine of my work. The small format and the basic ideas they represent suit me fine. They aren’t BIG ideas but seen together they represent my focused will. I understand them as divorced from nature assuming that humanity is somewhat other than nature. A straight line and a perfect circle is not something you can possibly find in nature. That makes these drawings about human concepts inititially at a very basic level. What I find most interesting in these drawings are the deviations that occur, the errors if you will.
